Yes, Don, an EE INIT is not something one should do "arbitrarily". It did fix a similar non-linear RF gain problem of that myself and others reported on this reflector back in 2010, so I suggested it as a solution.
The process in the owners manual makes clear that a saved configuration is a very important step if one does not want to undertake a lot of parameter setting and calibration. As to running the RF gain calibration, this did not solve the non-linearity for me, but the EE INIT did. ----- 73, Stan - KR7C -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/rf-gain-tp7561676p7561696.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
