The thread doesn't document the resolution (for me, EEINIT), unfortunately,
but there is an interesting graph of the behavior by one of the contributors
(HB9BRI) who also experienced the issue.

Perhaps there is some information in the thread that will be of help.

Did you verify that the behavior is still present after an EEINIT but BEFORE
you reloaded your configuration? (I'm assuming that you did an EEINIT, of
course).
