I was not actually asking about which lines needed to be connected within the cable, although that is another important aspect. I was simply asking whether it is necessary to purchase two complete KPAK3AUX cable sets. It seems to me that with two complete KPAK3AUX cable sets, I would end up with at least one surplus Y-cable (assuming I need the first one) and a surplus key line interrupter (or is it actually two; i.e., does the KAT500 even need a separate interrupter?).
Stated otherwise, I'd like to know whether the only way to purchase (as distinct from fabricate) the necessary additional 7-wire DE-15 to DE-15 cable is to order another complete KPAK3AUX cable set, or whether it is possible to order the DE-15 to DE-15 cable on its own (on the assumption that that is all I would need, of course). 73, Rich VE3KI HB9ANM wrote: > Rich VE3KI wrote: > > "Wouldn't a single 15-pin to 15-pin DE-15 cable in addition to the first > KPAK3AUX cable set be sufficient?" > > NO!
