Win 7 64 bit can load almost any 32 bit software i tried. He has a backward 
compatibility mode that you can try if the software doesn't run at first try.
You will find 32 bit programs in c:\program files x86 directory.
I currently use two old prolific usb to rs232 converters regularly without any 
issue.
