While I agree with you in general, there are occasions when the nitty
gritty details are not of interest to the group.
For instance, if I begin to help someone with a problem that gets into
detailed measurements, that no longer is of interest to everyone, so I
take it off-list. I leave it up to the discretion of the person with
the problem to post whatever is the final resolution to the reflector.
That sometimes happens, but sometimes does not.
So, as long as I feel it is of general interest, I will post to the
group, but if it is an individual question, I will go off-list.
