Brenton the main receiver is about the same as my 5000 but the real game changer is the second receiver. Plus many of the features my K3/100's have and the KX3 and my pride the K2/100 loaded with the KAT's for all. It just doesn't get any better for me my only non Elecraft radio is an IC-9100. It replaced a FT-847 and why I kept it as it's loaded also the only new radio on the market that comes close it.
