I use 2 Kenwood PS30 linear supplies under the table (1 is a spare), had them a long time now..
They are heavy but give a stable 20 Amps at 13.8V; they run my KX3, FT817ND and my HFPacker Amp at full power.. I also have an ex-medical UPS unit (at 12.0V) under the bed for nighttime use... KX3 at 5W.
