Look at the cable shown in the KAT100 manual page 25.
Note that the cable connects to the AUX I/O connector.
That is *not* a serial port - only three pins are RS-232, RXD, TXD and Signal Ground. Do not plug a serial cable directly into the K2, it can damage the K2 or the serial port or both. You must use the special cable to connect to the computer or a serial adapter.
