Here in NJ I have received USPS Priority Mail packages from Elecraft in 3 days. USPS Priority Mail beats the pants off UPS most all the time for packages sent from west of about the Mississippi River. And they are cheaper too.

Now for my pet peeve with Elecraft... The only one too... When they ship Priority mail their mailing program uses the USPS formula for calculating the cost. This is sometimes a lot higher than using the "Flat rate" boxes. I once sent them a picture of their package with plenty of room to spare inside a flat rate box. The cost was slightly higher than half the charged cost. To their credit they did make an adjustment. As in all things it could be a trade off as using the flat rate may increase the cost to those closer to the mother ship.

Also to their credit they at least offer USPS service. I have not ordered from companies that did not offer it as I felt the UPS price for a small item was exorbitant. Not applicable to Elecraft, as far as I can tell, but in quite a few cases the shipping department is not a cost of doing business but a profit center.

5 business days - 7 calendar days, is nominal for coast-to-coast UPS ground. Fedex the same, although they deliver Saturdays (but not Mondays). Not much Elecraft can do besides offer options.

I usually use Priority Mail if available - 2 day delivery usually.

Hi everyone!
Sorry if i'm venting, but how come even the tiniest packages from Elecraft take full 7 days to arrive via UPS Ground? 1 pound package via UPS Ground, for almost $17 shouldn't take this long, should it?
I understand this isn't Amazon Prime, but come on, 7 days?
