If you have a squeeze key you can wire the dash paddle through 2 diodes to the tip and the ring of the phone plug and leave the dot paddle to the dot line.
You can then emulate a bug on the K2 if you have it set for auto-key-detect. I haven't tried it...I was never very good with a bug above 15WPM.
