I am experiencing a low power output condition on the KPA100 on 15-10 meters. Power out on all other bands >100 watts.
Output/current draw from K2 measured at the BNC connector with the KPA100 disconnected: (PO28 set to 15w) 15 14w 2.9a 12 11w 2.5a 10 10w 2.5a KPA 100 output 15 96w 20a 12 88w 17a 10 85w 20a All component values in the LP filters on both the K2 and KPA100 have been verified. SWR on the KPA100 LPFs is ok. At this point I am suspecting soft PA transistors in the KPA 100. Any feedback is greatly appreciated 73 Gregg -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Sverre Holm Sent: Saturday, December 31, 2005 9:54 AM To: 'Bob G3PJT'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [Elecraft] KSB2 misbehaving > -----Original Message----- > Got a funny one - KSB2 chip/module seems to be recognised via > the Auxbus but doesn't seem to be doing anything when I > change the settings with the SSbA and SSbC commands. > If you measure the voltage on pin 11 of the KDSB2 processor (U1) you can see if it toggles with the SSBA command, and the same with pins 23, 24, 25 for SSBC. That should give you a clue whether the processor responds to the commands or not. 73 Sverre LA3ZA http://www.qslnet.de/la3za/ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
