I would recommend downloading the driver from Elecraft. Then update the driver by choosing "Browse my computer for driver software". Then, in the next step select the directory where the driver has been downloaded and unpacked. That should do - although sometimes Windows can be annoying about needing the driver installed first before the adapter is plugged in. If this doesn't work, post what results you get and I'm sure someone here will know the next work-around.

Hi All,
I received a couple of cable from Elecraft today, and I am not having any luck
getting them to work. I go into the device manager and it says a driver has
not been installed. I tell it to update the driver, it goes out to the
Internet, but returns nothing. Any ideas?

Right now, I am trying to get it to work with my Toshiba laptop running Windows
8.

Thanks in advance,
Jim
