My wife bought me a stock K3/100 for Christmas 2012. It replaced my K2/100 w/KAT100. So, the first item I bought was the KAT3 antenna tuner. If you were planning to get the KAT500, I would go with that an not bother with the KAT3. I used the rig pretty much stock for many months. Other may encourage you to buy lots of filters, but you can do a heck of a lot with the rig with the stock filter.
