This is looking more like a WSJT-X problem. I set my MIDI control to 48000 and fired up cocoaModem. Was able to easily send a 1kHz test tone and then send CQ. Going back to WSJT-X failed miserably. No amount of fiddling with the VOX gain or Mic drive control OR the controls on the front of the Tascam would make it work.
Also, the WSJT-X Audio tab has no place to set the sample rate or bit depth - on my version, anyway. I'll re-try the WSJT group. Will post here if I get it resolved. I'm about ready to just blow it off and keep things at 41000.
