Hi everyone,

Thanks again for all the help and guidance with the problems I ran into. Last night I finished the final assembly and transmitter alignment of my K2.

Today I have to go buy a mic and do the alignment of the SSB board. Normally I don't mind the toroids but those two little RF chokes on the SSB board are something else! Otherwise, I'm just waiting on the mail to deliver my KAT2 then I can get the K2 on the air. Great feeling of elation though when I hooked it up to my random wire antenna last night and tuned it into a QSO on 160 meters, then another on 80 meters.

The K1 sure is cute sitting next to the K2. The only difference between the two that I'm not quite pleased with, are the chassis screws on the K2. The K1, with the flat-head screws, looks a little more evolved or mature perhaps. I may have to order up a bag or two of the flat-head screws, and countersink all the holes on the top and sides of the K2, so it has the nice smooth look.
