Sid, Using the normal 13.8V powersupply for that, which is also used for my K3. The 12V connection on the backside of the K3 I use for a panadapter.

Just got my new KAT/KPA500 on the August Special. I have both units all wired, tested and ready to go except for the 12 to 15 VDC power connection for the KAT500.
