Sounds like classic received and re-radiated intermod, Bob. W3LPL has chased this down, and I've observed it in our CW contesting trailer. Set up in the middle of nowhere, no issues with transmitter harmonics or intermod. Set up anywhere around civilization, strong harmonics and intermod.
