Given the way processors improve in speed with time (Moore's
law), the idea of a new DSP could mean just that. The big issues
I see are RFI, power consumption, and heat.
If we go in the direction of adding AI to the mix, then we will
need more storage as well as more processor. (Your phone relies
on the cloud for speech recognition.) I'm beginning to see an
external box which should address some of the issues above.
