If you live in North America, the ONLY good PL-259 connector is one that labeled Amphenol 83-1SP. Most others are JUNK. I'm told there are some other decent brands sold in EU.
ALWAYS snug the PL-259's with a pair of 4" channel lock pliers.
RIGHT. And always be VERY careful about how you solder them, especially the shield.
