Dinner on Andy? Your analysis is spot on. When the KPA is requested to shut down it does some housekeeping, saving various things and putting the amp into a safe condition, including setting the 60V to off. It then sets the fan for full speed operation to bleed off the 60V power and waits for the power button to be released. It finally resets into the boot loader. It does not monitor the 60V voltage at that point. It is an interesting observation that perhaps it should, but the question is then what to do about it. The only thing really is to throw a fault, which puts that amp into a safe mode, but we are already there.
As usual, Andy, you provide great things to think about. I’m not sure there is anything to do about this one, except find out why Jerry’s 60V power is stuck on. 73 and thanks!
