I have used the CM500 for many years. I have replaced the ear muffs with Koss's version. However, like Grant, I bought a RS60CF and have not looked back. Unlike Joe, I find them very comfortable, even after many hours in a contest. They cut out extraneous noise very well. The K3 TX equalizer provides excellent audio response.
I use a pair of CM500's for portable work. So far, I've not had to use the spare set in spite of a lot of use and abuse.
