Dear Elecrafters, I have a K3 with an internal 2m transverter that I use with an external amp. Initially I had the amp connected to PTT-out but that would key the 2m amp if I transmitted on any band. To help with this, I put the optional jumper on P8 in the transverter so that it put out 5v on ant3 (2m out) while transmitting. I then built a simple NPN grounded emitter circuit to key the 2m amp by grounding its PTT-in when 5v show up on output of the transverter. Here is the shocker: 5v show up on 2m transverter out whenever I transmit on ANY band. How disappointing. Am I missing something? Is there a simple fix?
