watt sweep tube finals), he called one evening to tell me I was
"coming through his wife's organ."
Imagine my dismay ...
I seem to remember that the GT-550 was plagued by spurious... Don't
remember if it
was harmonics or parasitics or mixing products.

pioneered
the 21 MHz TV IF. Ranks right in there with the FCC's decision to 86
Channel 1, move the hams from 5 and 2 1/2 meters to 6 and 2 meters and
locate TV Ch 2 at 5 meters, putting the 2nd harmonic of 10 [and the 4th
harmonic of 20] in the middle of it. Having Ch 2 right next to 6m
didn't
help that band much either.
