Good Grief.
I look at these groups as like starting a conversation with my neighbor over the
fence about crab grass. (Where I live we have neither fences or grass, crab or
otherwise. so I'm speaking metaphorically). If the topic drifts to sports or ham
radio, I don't take offense. I can either stay engaged or beg off by telling my
neighbor I have to go in for another beer. I might even invite him over to
share one.
In the case at hand, I fail to understand the hardship of using the delete key.

Other than trying to remember and ignore by subject line, is there a way to
mute specific threads on the Elecraft mailing list (via qth.net)? Maybe I'm
thinking of the feature on @groups.io mailing lists - but this would be
helpful as Elecraft related topics morph into posts containing no Elecraft
content. While this content has value, it also dilutes value, as it's not
Elecraft specific.

The UPS Store does not charge real UPS rates.
Ditto for FedEx stores. BUT -- both are free drop-off locations for
shipments that have been created online. I do all my shipping with
FedEx, because UPS Stores use packing peanuts, and FedEx stores do not.
Packing peanuts are an obscenity -- they blow around the property,
making a huge mess. There are SO many good alternatives, everything from
wadded up newspaper, butcher paper, the machined flexy paper tubes that
Amazon uses (all most environmentally friendly), to bubble-wrap and
air-filled plastic. I save bubble wrap and re-use it. The paper starts
my fireplace.
The only issue I've had with either company is that their drivers often
leave packages in my driveway, rather than to my porch. That's a very
big deal when they're heavy, because I'm old and there are a dozen steps.
