Andrew, I don't think these mailing lists support that, but Gmail has a
"mute" action you can take on a conversation that should keep it from
popping back into your inbox repeatedly.

Wes, Andrew was merely asking for a way to beg off and go in for a beer
*once* instead of for each message.
