 I am no expert but as far as I can tell any of the top  radios with
narrow  dynamic range above 92 db would be fine in most environments.  The
k4d was measured at  101.
A few years ago that dynamic range would have been considered fantastic.
I notice that the k3s is at 106.  Who is going to notice that difference.
The ergonomics on the k4d is much better once you get used to it.
Everything you need to know while operating is plainly visible.  For
example
I find I like having a real time UTC clock and date  kept accurately
automatically.  It is also nice to see the code speed and power levels
readily visible.
