I dealt with silliness like that a couple of years ago. Fortunately, it was an Amazon purchase made on a credit card. Unfortunately, since it was not Amazon doing the selling I had to deal with the crooks directly. When they would not offer a satisfactory resolution I turned the mess over to the credit card company. I received a full refund plus kept the incorrect item that was shipped.
