Hi Charlie, I know you are looking for a Pelican case, but I just thought of something interesting. A long time ago I won a hard case for a radio control transmitter for RC airplanes. It might have been made by JR. Anyway, I never used it until I got the K2. It has diced foam which I pulled out to make a nice fit for my K2. The inside dimensions are About 8.75" x 11.75" x 6". This 8.5" dimension is a little tight. A company like Tower hobbies will probably have a nice selection of these. I can take a photo of it later on.
