I just got the KX1 for Christmas from my XYL and found that L9 was supposed to be a micro sized 100 uH device. The one I have is a mini size, not micro. The board layout was for the micro as well. I contacted Elecraft and they told me that the micro size is no longer available so that is the part to use. They also forwarded a link for how to install the inductor:
