Hi,
I am using both ICPW-1 and Quadra System. Both of them are good. ICPW-1 is
a strong work horse and will survive in extreme operating conditions.
Quadra gives you a fantasic LCD display but you have better not using it
for full duty cycle in 1 kw.
I am still interested in KPA800 / 1600 but not for the price issue because
the street prices for both ICOM aand Yaesu amplifiers in Hong Kong are only
around 85% of the US prices. I am looking for an amplifier which I can
really service it by myself.
At the present moment, if my amplifiers had problems, I had to ship them
back to Japan for repair - very expensive,

Hi,
I seriously looking for a HF Amplifier, between 800W and 1KW. I'm also
planning to do a 1400km trip to Dayton in may... I really want to shake
hands of Elecraft staff. ;-))
I already owned an Ameritron AL-811H that I did not like very much. I
would like, first, an amp that could live with my K2... and two, I do not
want to hear relays when running full breakin.
A question come to my mind..... when Elecraft will have the KPA800 ready
!?!?
What kind of HF amp on the market could be as good as Elecraft ?
