For many years, I have been an avid reader of the Elecraft reflector.
Yesterday afternoon, at SEAPAC, I officially joined the Elecraft family with
the purchase of K1 serial number 2379.

I started in amateur radio in 1965 with the call WN6QYP in the Los Angeles,
California area. I held the call WB6VVS for thirty years until I moved to
Portland, Oregon in the summer of 1991. I work, as a contract employee, at a
company that makes electronic test instruments. You will now be hearing from
me a little more often until I get this little gem built. Don't expect to hear
it on the air any time soon. My wife and I both work. That will cut into
available construction time. I may be calling on a few of you locals, who own
working K1s, for assistance from time to time.

It was nice to be able to meet Ron, AC7AC, and Lisa for the first time at
SEAPAC.

    All The Best,

    Steve Brandt N7VS
    Portland, Oregon
