Congratulations, Steve, on SN 2379! You will enjoy both building it and
using it immensely.
I'm just slightly before you in the SN order. I received SN 2377 a few days
ago and have started construction. All done with the 4 band filter board
except for the torroids. 15 or 17 meters was one of the most difficult
decisions I've had to make in quite some time ;>) Too bad it couldn't
have been "both".
Having built my K2 earlier, I think I'm going to like the K1 even more. It
is indeed simpler, but seems like a really neat design. I'm looking forward
to using it in the field this summer (mostly hike-in stuff). Once it is up
and running, my K2 SN 5295 will go up for sale, the proceeds from which will
be the beginning of my K3 fund - my K3 time will be sometime this coming
winter ;>)
