At our local club and among many of the members of the BCC aviation headsets are fairly popular. The headsets we have in use locally are the PA11-60 and PA11-61 <http://www.pilot-usa.com/pa1161a.htm>.
Advantages: 1) Bandwidth limited to voice frequencies. 2) Microphone can be placed very close to mouth. 3) Microphone not very sensitive to surrounding noise. 4) High level of surrounding noise attenuation.
