I don't recall casting anything as a failure by Elecraft. I was merely pointing out an upside to ordering later that many might not be aware of. As to whether Elecraft does a better job of meeting user needs than anyone else, perhaps those who are still awaiting the implementation of features that have been on hold since the 2nd RX problems occurred (not to mention those awaiting the 2nd RX itself) might disagree with you.
