"The Heil footswitch is FB quality and reasonably priced." We must have a different definition of "FB quality". I've owned several Heil footswitches and they all eventually failed with stripped pivot screws. It's a poor mechanical design. You can kludge a repair with a long machine screw and nylock nut or do better by purchasing a Linemaster GEM-V footswitch or similar.
