XP is the first Micro$oft that requires a dynamic "authorization".
Whe M$ no longer supports reinstallation of XP, the legal status of
the cracked authorization that's available with searching will be
interesting. No one contracted with XP to a deliberately broken
so called operating system; this is something that M$ did after the
fact.
My rant below is not aimed at Don: it's just a fact.

Ian, G4ICV, AB2GR, K2 #4962
gnu/linux tinkerer since a 0.9 kernel sometime in 1992, User since
1.0.9 and 1.1.18 kernels in Slackware 1994, Linux-FT lasermoon 1995,
Redhat 4.2 (spit) sometime in 1997, manual update from 1.2 13 to 2.0.0
in 1998, Debian fanatic 1998 to recently, FreeBSD 3.4 January 2000 to
6.2 lately, kubuntu 7.10 currently and strongly considering Gentoo.
Unix pre linux. Get out of my face Micro$oft.
