Thanks Lyle. A previous setting of 8 to 10 now takes a setting of 60
to get reasonable operation...and that is without any Anti Vox.

amount needed for VOX was upset a bit. New code is in test as I write
this that works with reasonable settings using all the mics I have
here (MH2, cheap electret, Kenwood MC43S, Heil GM-5 with HC-5 and
"flat" elements). Also LINE IN from my PC.
