If you want to key the sidetone without sending, put the K3 in test mode. That works for me.

I find this useful when I want to tune a key, practice sending with a new key or send a little code for local training or whatever. I can key the transmitter by stepping on the foot switch, selecting send with a push button or holding the PTT switch on the microphone. I would like to be able to do something similar with the K3.
