I've lived and worked a bunch of places, both big cities and now out in the country. My universal experience with UPS has been that their drivers 1) are assigned to routes for long enough periods that they know their customers; and 2) they are VERY accommodating and sensitive to the needs/desires of their customers; 3) are well hired (that is, good people, good attitude). At my house in Chicago, I wanted nothing left on my porch, but was happy to have neighbors accept them (and do the same for my neighbors). I had also had an issue with fraud, with someone ordering stuff in my name. UPS was very responsive to my needs. In the businesses where I worked, UPS drivers came in the door straight to the shipping area/department, did their business, and left with no disruption to other things going on. Indeed, we always felt comfortable with their presence and activity. By contrast, I had MAJOR issues with another shipper (not FedEx) who some vendors used because they were cheap, and who would leave packages anywhere between the lawn and the porch. 73, Jim K9YC _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
