I noticed this also....but I found that is was an antenna issue...or more so a coax issue. I changed out some coax and the issue went away for the most part, but I notice that since I put in the last upgrade (2.02/1.77) things changed for AFSK. I have to drive the K3 quite a bit harder than I did before, and it would never make the 100 watts output. The best I could do was 80 watts before the Xmit ALC would go to 5 bars and just stop. Running 3 to 4 bars would only give me 80 watts and increasing it any more was fruitless. I was going to ask about this myself....
My line in was at 48 to 50 and it tops out at 60. I am running the Signalink USB and had to increase the drive from the device considerably. I wonder if something changed in the software which either I did not read about or is an artifact of doing something that affects something else. Lee K0WA 250 RTTY QSOs in about 3 hours. In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.
