You can purchase the cable (pn850292 @$3.10) from Elecraft that will plug
into the bottom of RF board at P86. This is the same cable used for the
KXV3 option. It has the 2 pin connector on one end and the other end can be
soldered to a BNC connector. A BNC connector can easily be mounted in the
location of the blank plate that would be used for the KXV3 option on the
back of the radio.

Subject: [Elecraft] K3: cheapo substitute for KXV3?
Okay...so I a typical "cheap" ham....
I would like to save some $$ while still being able to access the "IF
OUT" from the K3. Is there a less expensive (home brew) way to do
this? I don't need any of the xvtr functionality, etc. Just want the
IF output.
I hope Eric and Wayne don't get too upset with this post, but, ummm,
it is still "hands on radio," right? Can anyone help out this non-EE,
non-RF engineer type guy?
:-)
Mni tnx....
