Yes, that was the case. When I set up the band memories, I didn't make sure both VFO's were properly set to CW. Since I normally have the display set to real time clock mode, I didn't see the offending USB indicator on VFO B. Thanks for the many correct answers to my problem. That was very quick.

A single tap of A->B only copies frequency. A double tap of A->B copies all other parameters (mode, filter etc.)
