I found out that the hand mic from Elecraft works best on the EQ. I have tried different "studio" style mics and it seems like the EQ goes wider with the one from Elecraft. (MH2). The next best mic in second place was one of the gamers mics with the foot pedal. The Kenwood and the ADI radio plugs work on Elecraft if you use a headset with a foot pedal. It's amazing that I can get more lows and highs from the little hand mic and had confirmed my findings over air. The stations I've talked told me that the hand mic sounds deeper, richer and more brilliant on the EQ than the other mics that were adjusted again on the EQ again. I think the money was well spent on the hand mic and have no regrets.
