Thanks for your email Don. I hope I wasn't repceived that I was complaining as
mine was an observation. Like you said it's booting up just as our computers do
and my Orion does exactly the same thing when it is booting up as well.

Power On Len, My K3 clicks a bit when it is powered on (and off too). It
has been there since the beginning - and has not been dependent on any firmware
level. This is just a case of hearing the electronics become active.
Unlike my stereo equipment which mutes the output until all that
switching on startup/shutdown is finished. I actually like to hear those sounds
- it tells me that something really is happening. I sit and wonder
whether anything is happening with my stereo equipment when I first power it
on, and I don't know if the power-on really worked OK until the 10 second
