That will work too. but if you already have something in the Key In
jack it makes it bothersome. Its easier to put the K3 into FSK-D.
Then the footswitch will do exactly what you want.

I've got a Heil Foot-switch and headset but even when in CW mode
depressing the FS only activates
the xmit led but no constant-tone/carrier.
Any ideas???
