I used a 4"-6" length of #10 RED-BLK power cable (from somewhere unknown) which was quite flexible and worked great. And all(!) of the wire strands fit nicely into the trough of the 45A connector. I used the West Mountain Radio crimper and it did a really nice job on the 45A (and other sizes) of connector. It would probably have choked had I tried to use it on #10 solid copper and possibly on hard-drawn copper, just Like Tim, KA0OUV, noted.
