Soldering is an option if you don't have a crimping tool.

I used a 4"-6" length of #10 RED-BLK power cable (from somewhere unknown) which was quite flexible and worked great. And all(!) of the wire strands fit nicely into the trough of the 45A connector. I used the West Mountain Radio crimper and it did a really nice job on the 45A (and other sizes) of connector. It would probably have choked had I tried to use it on #10 solid copper and possibly on hard-drawn copper, just Like Tim, KA0OUV, noted. I've not broken any dies... yet! <G> 73, Tom Hammond N0SS ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
