I got it solved, David. I don't have internet in my "primitive" shack, so I had downloaded the software in my house, using K3 Utility. Then I closed (to sleep) my Powerbook, walked out to the shack, and connected it to K3. I still had Utility open from before. Apparently, Utility needs to see the K3 when it starts up, otherwise it seems that the Configurations AND the help menu are dead.
This time I started Utility while connected to K3. It now works like a charm, loading my CQ perfectly into K3 memory. And the HELP is magnificent. No problem now! Thanks so much.
