I don't see any threat to us drifting towards CB operational
habits because of radios having the ability to step to / in
1 or 5 kHz steps.  We've been this way for years.

Those of us who have a penchant for "order" tend to use
"even" frequencies.  Most nets follow this format ... probably
for simplicity.  

For the most part I'm a "CQ'er" and always call on a specific 
kHz rather than a random dial setting.  It's not a big deal ... just
the way I follow my particular sense of order. It avoids rounding 
off of log book entries, too. (:-))
