K3 experts: I am working on trying to understand all the features I want in my K3 but so far I have worked up the following configuration of things that I definitely will include:
K3/100 KAT3 -- ATU KXV3A -- IF output and transverter interface KDVR3 -- DVR Question: do I want the TXCO (KTCXO3-1) module? I think if I get it my reason would be just that I like to have the best stuff but I am not sure I would really know whether I benefit by it or not. Question: do I need the USB interface -- this seems to be more then just a USB interface though, from what I can see, unless I am confused, this also includes audio input/output ports. And, I am still on the fence regarding the sub-receiver and I will decide on filters later after I decide on the basic components (that is, deciding which CW filters I want). And, another question: does the general coverage bandpass module give you anything extra besides access to the other non-ham-band frequencies. Off hand, I don't that that as necessary since I have other radios capable of pulling in that other stuff if I want and I rarely do that.
